ACT Forum’19, The International Architect Forum and Building Technology Exposition for the first time in Thailand, is getting closer and closer. Aside from building material technology and innovations that leading exhibitors have showcased, one more highlight worth mentioning about is work of art by seasoned artists. The works include sketches of architectural buildings, houses, community life and other work of art that are exhibited and sold at the ACT Forum’19.

Muangmon Line Arch, Booth No. B613-614
This booth brings together the sketches of Ajarn Muangmon Srithongthai, who has traveled around Bangkok to find locations to draw throughout the years, such as Hua Lamphong train station, an abandoned house beside Bangkok Noi canal, Police Sapha community, along with Phadung Krung Kasem canal, Assumption School, Bang Rak, etc. In addition to the works of Ajarn Muangmon, there are also creations of his students that will be displayed in the booth, as well as drawing workshops from Ajarn himself.
One of the works that will be displayed in the booth is the picture “Perspective bird eye view Bangkok: the boundary around the island of Rattanakosin”. Ajarn Muangmon told us that “Even if someone offered one million baht for this picture, I will not sell it”. This work took one year to finished, visitors have to see the actual work by themselves in the event.
Khlong Bang Luang, booth number B516
See paintings and various types of art works from Khlong Bang Luang artists. Their booth design comes in the “Art Consciousness” concept, defined as the art of coexisting consciously. If you don’t like art, you can overlook the beauty. However, if you lack of consciousness, everything is pointless. “Art consciousness” does not mean people have to be conscious with creating art. It is a representation of the atmosphere of simplicity in life that consists of reading and emotional release in various ways, including painting, etc., The art from Khlong Bang Luang is exhibited at this booth.
Watercolor art of “Khru Kai” at booth number B506/1
“Khru Kai” Surak Wiangsaeng, owner of the unique brush strokes Kru Kai, has exhibited his various works of art, such as Art for Learning” work with Prajak Nakaraj group in Udon Thani and “Life River” exhibition in Bangkok etc. In ACT Forum’19, Khru Kai will bring watercolor paintings, such as Wat Ton Kwen, Chiang Mai and old buildings in Bangkok. The booth will showcase his paintings for sale and his worksop which starts at 2:00 pm on the day of the event.
